Be the Scare
Every October, Scarizona builds a cast and crew from the ground up: scare actors, makeup artists, set builders, and the crew who run the gates after dark. Sign up for the seasonal Scream Team and work the other side of the mask this year.

The Season
The Cast Behind an Award-Winning Night of Fear
Scarizona is a family-owned Arizona institution that has spent over two decades turning the Mesa desert into three haunted attractions every October. The 2024 Highest Rated Cast Award from The Scare Factor (Southwest) and an 8.35/10 overall score do not come from a script alone. They come from a cast that commits, night after night, and a crew that builds a production-scale set from the ground up before a single guest walks through a gate.
Every face out there wears single-artist SFX makeup, built by hand, one performer at a time. Every corridor and every midway character belongs to a set the crew maintains through the entire run. Join the Scream Team, and you become part of the machine that keeps all of it running after sundown.
The Roles
Five Ways to Work the Dark
Scare Actor / Cast
Step into character under stage makeup and lighting rigs, then hunt guests through the corridors and the midway. You carry the scare from the moment a guest enters your section until they run for the next gate.
Makeup & SFX
Work alongside single-artist SFX makeup applications, building the wounds, textures, and faces guests photograph on their way out. Steady hands and a taste for the grotesque required.
Set & Build Crew
Build and maintain a production-scale set across the run: corridors, props, lighting, and the desert terrain itself. The scare only holds up if the set does, night after night.
Security & Operations
Keep guests, cast, and crew safe across the grounds: bag checks, crowd flow, and a presence at every gate. Every scare on these grounds is staged, and operations is what keeps it that way.
Parking & Guest Services
Run the lot and the front gate: parking, timed-entry check-in, and the first face guests see before the dark takes over. You set the tone before anyone hears their first scream.
